In this series I share my own perspective on the influence of African masks in my artwork.

Masks can be a metaphor for the psychological  facade that conceals the true feelings of the wearer. We can reveal ourselves as heroes or spirits and hide our everyday identity at the same time. African masks have a function and represent the forces and energies of nature and life.

We all wear masks... created from our experiences and perceptions.
